Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1/2 cup roasted almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries, chopped

How To Make almond cherry bars

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Line 8" square baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Step 3
    Spread oats onto baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until toasted. Place in medium bowl; cool.
  • Step 4
    Place almond butter, honey and coconut oil in microwave safe bowl. Microwave 30 seconds until warm. Whisk until smooth.
  • Step 5
    Whisk almond extract and egg white into almond butter.
  • Step 6
    Add almonds and dried cherries to oats.
  • Step 7
    Pour almond butter over oat mixture. Stir until well combined.
  • Step 8
    Press firmly into prepared pan.
  • Step 9
    Bake 20 to 22 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Step 10
    Cool in pan 15 minutes.
  • Step 11
    Remove from pan, then cool completely on wire rack.
  • Step 12
    Cut into bars.
  • Step 13
