toasted pecans

I make these Toasted Pecans for Christmas gifts. Just make sure that you only use real butter, as margarine will not give the flavor that the pecans deserve.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • - salt, to taste, i use popcorn salt as it is very fine

How To Make toasted pecans

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in a heavy frying pan. Add pecans and coat well with butter. Spread on a baking sheet and toast for 1 hour at 250-degrees. Drain on brown paper bags. Sprinkle with salt.
  • Step 2
    Then hide or they will soon be gone.
