With our Pecan trees giving us a bumper crop, I always have people ask how can you Roast and Salt Pecans for a keep around snack. THIS IS IT!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz
    butter
  • 8 oz
    pecans, halved
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How to Make Toasted Pecans

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven 350.
  2. Melt butter in saucepan.
  3. Stir pecans in melted butter until they are thoroughly coated.
  4. Spread pecans on a cookie sheet. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in 350 oven until lightly toasted, stirring once.
  5. Remove from oven.
  6. Sprinkle lightly with salt.
  7. Let cool and serve.
  8. Store in airtight container.
  9. Yields 1/2 pounds.
