Ingredients

1 box chex mix
1 can nuts of your choice
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup light karo syrup
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 - bag of m & ms (optional)

How To Make sweet chex mix

Step 1

Put the cereal and nuts in a big brown paper bag. In saucepan, mix butter, brown sugar, and karo syrup. Bring to a boil for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda. Mix well and pour over cereal and nuts in bag. Stir and close bag. Microwave on high for five minutes; remove and shake bag every minute. Spread on wax paper and let cool. Add M&Ms (opt)
