Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 - large egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 2 cups walnut halves
- 2 cups roasted, salted almonds
- 2 cups roasted, salted cashews
How To Make sweet and spicy nuts

Step 1Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Center rack in oven. Spray baking sheet liberally with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl, whisk egg whites until frothy. Add nuts and stir until coated.

Step 3In a small bowl, mix together dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, curry powder, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle sugar mixture over nuts and toss until coated.

Step 4Arrange nuts in a single layer on prepared cooking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and fragrant.

Step 5Allow to cool for 1 hour. Using a metal spatula, remove the nuts from cookie sheet and break into bite-sized pieces.
