SWEET AND SPICY NUTS

1 1/2 cdark brown sugar, packed

1 cgranulated sugar

2large egg whites
-
1/2 tspcurry powder
-
1/2 tspcinnamon
-
12 tspcayenne pepper
-
2 cwalnut halves
-
2 croasted, salted almonds
-
2 croasted, salted cashews
How to Make SWEET AND SPICY NUTS
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Center rack in oven. Spray baking sheet liberally with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. - In a large bowl, whisk egg whites until frothy. Add nuts and stir until coated.
- In a small bowl, mix together dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, curry powder, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle sugar mixture over nuts and toss until coated.
- Arrange nuts in a single layer on prepared cooking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and fragrant.
- Allow to cool for 1 hour. Using a metal spatula, remove the nuts from cookie sheet and break into bite-sized pieces.
