These are sooooo good! I used to love them when I was able to eat nuts! Now I just make them for the holidays for everyone else to enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pecans
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 - egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon water

How To Make sugared pecans

  • Step 1
    Stir sugar, salt, and cinnamon into a bowl.
  • Step 2
    In second bowl, beat egg whites and water until fluffy, not stiff.
  • Step 3
    Add pecans and stir until coated.
  • Step 4
    Pour sugar mixture over pecans and stir again until coated with sugar mixture.
  • Step 5
    Spread on cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Stir every 10-15 minutes.
  • Step 6
    When done, let pecans cool a few minutes, then remove to a large piece of wax paper and finish cooling.
  • Step 7
    Break apart large pieces that are stuck together. Store covered when completely cooled.
