I give these as gifts every Christmas. They are wonderful with a nice, cold martini!

Makes 4 cups
Ingredients
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 cup golden brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons chinese five spice powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups pecan halves
How To Make spiced pecans

Step 1Preheat over to 350. Butter 2 large baking sheets. Melt 1/4 cup of butter in a large skillet. Add brown sugar, water, salt ansd spices. Stir until sugar desolves. Add nuts to sugar mixture and cook until syrup thickly coats nuts, stirring frequently, about 5 minues. Transfer nuts to a prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden brown. I find that the nuts take longer dedending on your oven. Just keep checking on them. Addictive!!
