I tend to toss some butter into a skillet, toss in some pecans, & toast on a NOT HIGH heat for about 10 minutes, then toss on some salt. But here is some measurements for those who want them.

How To Make southern salted nuts
-
1Melt the Butter, add the Salt. Pour over the Pecans & coat the pecans well. Spread out on a 13" x 9" pan.
-
2Bake at 200 degrees F or who knows, it didn't say. but try 10 minutes. Then work up in 5 minute increments and shouldn't be over 20 minutes. They will get a little bit darker than when they went into the oven.
-
3Drain on paper towels. You will probably regret it if you don't once you find out the difference between draining & not draining. Even doing it my way on top of the store with MUSH LESS pecans & butter, do drain on paper towels.

4NOTE: Good to eat once cooled just as it is. Or toss into a salad, sandwich, whatever you think sounds good. Topping ice cream.
