nutty toffee apple.
Hi there, this is a recipe that always reminds me of Halloween. My Mother would make these toffee apples for my brothers and I, when she did a wee Halloween party at the house for us we just loved them. Now I make them with my children and they love to help...so hope you all like and enjoy making them along with your kids as much ,as we do.... :*)

How To Make nutty toffee apple.
-
Step 1wash apples then push the wooden sticks half way down into the apples, at the stalk end. Dissolve the sugar and water in a non-stick pan over gentle heat.
-
Step 2add the butter +syrup to the mixture and bring to the boil, continue to boil, with out stirring. until toffee reaches 140c/275f ( use a sugar thermometer to measure this or when you see the toffee starting to bubble up). Remove the pan from the heat and gently stir in the nuts watch the toffee will be very hot don't let the kids do this.
-
Step 3carefully dip each apple into the toffee, making sure each apple is well coated, and set a side to harden on a baking tray lined with non-stick parchment paper.
-
Step 4NOTE = you can also cover your toffee apples with flakes of coconut or chocolate sprinkles... enjoy.. :)
