  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c
    dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 c
    butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 6 c
  • 1 1/3 c
    peanuts (or walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/2 c
    slivered almonds (optional)

How to Make Nutty O's


  1. Heat oven to 325. Butter a 15 x 10 x 1 pan.
  2. Heat sugar, syrup, butter and salt in a 3 qt. saucepan until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the cereal and the nuts until well coated.
  4. Spread in pan and bake 15 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes and then loosen with a spatula.
