bourbon glazed pecans like candy!

One word: Gone! My husband Lee made these for the Super Bowl. "The pecans are the best thing on the table.", someone said. Bowlfuls were being taken! I'm not generally a pecan lover, but they turned my smile way up after eating just one! Two words: Awesome & Addictive!! Oh!, and Family Tested & Highly Approved!!! The secret is in Toasting the pecans first. The rest shall we say is delicious history.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups pecan halves
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/3 cup jack daniels tennessee honey bourbon
  • 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon mace
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

How To Make bourbon glazed pecans like candy!

  • Step 1
    Toast pecans @ 350 degrees on a cookie sheet until nicely toasted (10-15 minutes).
  • Step 2
    In sauce pan on medium heat, melt butter. Add brown sugar, spices, salt, and stir until sugar dissolves completely.
  • Step 3
    Add bourbon and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Step 4
    Add pecans to sauce and mix to coat. Pour pecans onto wax paper or parchment and allow to cool at least 20 minutes.
