fancy seasoned nuts
(2 RATINGS)
These nuts are so good. Great to have with cocktails. Sometimes when they are almost finished cooking and in the last minute of cooking,I add a pinch of dried rosemary (watch out a very little goes a long way) or a pinch of dried thyme. Then sometimes when they get spread on the baking sheet I dust them with finely grated parmesan cheese....YUM

Ingredients
- 3 cups unsalted, roasted nuts (use your favorite kind)
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 pinches cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 pinch cracked black pepper & cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon each, garlic & onion powder, cumin, smoked paprika
- 3 dashes hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce, low sodium
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
How To Make fancy seasoned nuts
-
Step 1In large skillet, melt butter, add brown sugar, hot sauce, soy sauce, worchester sauce & the seasonings, stir until butter is melted. Add stirring well to completely coat them.
-
Step 2Cook for 3-4 minutes stirring constantly or until sugar is melted and nuts are turning golden brown. Taste one of the nuts (be VERY careful the nuts and coating are hot)... you are just checking the seasonings (they should be slightly salty/spicy). If they need more salt or cayenne just add a tiny bit more.
-
Step 3Remove to a parchment lined baking sheet to cool. When cool, place in bowls.. Enjoy
