cindy's pecans

After having German Roasted nuts in the mall I had to figure out how to make them. Since (over 10 years) everyone calls them Cindys Pecans. They are a huge hit every Christmas. They are a pain as as far as you have to baby sit them while they cook. But to see people go nuts for these nuts makes it worth it...already people are asking when will I make them. In a tin they last

Ingredients
- - box of light brown sugar
- - box of dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spices
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 or 3 - egg whites
- - a couple of splashes of water
- 1 pound pecans, halved
How To Make cindy's pecans

Step 1Mix egg whites and a little water ( table spoon or two) Pour nuts in and mix well

Step 2Mix sugars and spices. Pour nuts in sugar mix

Step 3Time to get dirty.... With your hands mix the nuts real good. Pour in a roast pan

Step 4Cook nuts in oven at 350 for 30 min and stir. Cook the rest of the way at 300 and stir every 20 to 30 minutes. They are done when the are crusted. After a while they are pain to stir, but you have to keep it up....there is a reward when your done.

Step 5These can take 2 hours. I always plan a day to cook them. Usually I cook them all day and make put in tins for my special people.
