1Melt butter in 10-inch skillet; stir in nuts and 1/2 cup sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar is melted and nuts are browned and caramelized (8 to 12 minutes).
2Meanwhile, combine 3 tablespoons sugar and cardamom in large bowl. Stir in hot caramelized nuts; toss to coat. Spread on waxed paper or Silpat liner; cool completely. Break into clusters. Store in tightly covered container.
