candied spice nuts

I got this recipe from a former neighbor and just made my first batch today. Super easy to make and would make a nice hostess gift in a decorative bowl or tin. These do have a little kick to them but that's what I like about them. I hope you enjoy as much as I do.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 4 teaspoons water
- 2 cups mixed nuts or nuts of choice
How To Make candied spice nuts

Step 1Line cookie sheet with foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.

Step 2In a 1 qt microwave safe bowl, combine all dry ingredients and stir.

Step 3Add the water and stir with wooden spoon until mixed well.

Step 4Microwave for 1 minute uncovered and stir.

Step 5Add nuts, mixing well to coat.

Step 6Microwave for 3 minutes stirring after each minute.

Step 7Spread nuts evenly onton the foil. Let cool completely. Store in air tight container or freezer bag.
