I got this recipe from my Grandma. So easy to make and great to give out as gifts.

I suppose any skillet will work, but my Grandma told me to use cast iron, so that's what I do :)

It seems to be easier to buy raw peanuts already shelled around the holidays. If not, that is the longest part of this process - to shell the nuts!

Very easy to double. If you use a big enough skillet and sheet pan, you can double without messing up any more dishes.

How to Make Candied Peanuts


  1. Boil all ingredients in skillet until water is all gone. Stirring constantly. Peanuts will be covered with a sugar coating.
  2. Put in oven on cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 300 degrees. Turn with spatula every 5 minutes to prevent clumping.
