putting on the ritz
(1 RATING)
I make these quite often and they are so good and easy. I first ate these at a family reunion and could not find out who made them so I looked around until I found the recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 can eagle brand milk
- 1 cup dates, chopped
- 1 box ritz crackers
- ICING:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box confectioners' sugar
How To Make putting on the ritz
-
Step 1Cook pecans, dates and milk over low heat until thick. Cool. Put a spoonful on each cracker. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 8 min. at 350 degrees. Cool.
-
Step 2ICING: Mix cream cheese, butter, vanilla and confectioner's sugar until smooth. Blend well. Ice every cracker. I make one stripe down each cracker. This makes them look prettier but you will have some icing left-over. I also rather use Town House Original Topper crackers because they have an indentation on top.
