This recipe I made for my children when they were young,25 years ago and still make it today. This is so fresh and a better taste than box.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour,or graham flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter cut into slices
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make homemade graham crackers

  • Step 1
    Mix together flours,baking soda,baking powder,cinnamon,salt. Cut in butter.
  • Step 2
    Mix till it resembles course meal.
  • Step 3
    Mix honey,maple syrup and vanilla.
  • Step 4
    Blend liquid ingredients with dry ingredients and mix till you form a ball.
  • Step 5
    Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
  • Step 6
    Take half of dough and roll out on floured surface. Roll out 1/8 inch thick .Cut with a pizza cutter or knife 2 inches wide and 4 inches long. Can make them any size you want.
  • Step 7
    Transfer to greased cookie sheet.Space apart one inch.
  • Step 8
    Do same for other half of dough.
  • Step 9
    Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until firm.
