This recipe I made for my children when they were young,25 years ago and still make it today. This is so fresh and a better taste than box.

  • 1/2 c
  • 1 1/4 c
    whole wheat flour,or graham flour
  • 1/2 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    butter cut into slices
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
    maple syrup
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Homemade Graham Crackers


  1. Mix together flours,baking soda,baking powder,cinnamon,salt. Cut in butter.
  2. Mix till it resembles course meal.
  3. Mix honey,maple syrup and vanilla.
  4. Blend liquid ingredients with dry ingredients and mix till you form a ball.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
  6. Take half of dough and roll out on floured surface. Roll out 1/8 inch thick .Cut with a pizza cutter or knife 2 inches wide and 4 inches long. Can make them any size you want.
  7. Transfer to greased cookie sheet.Space apart one inch.
  8. Do same for other half of dough.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until firm.
