Kellogg's cereal has a similar recipe but they call for 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce. I use the chili powder to give it a little peppery taste. Try them both and see which one you like. I've never had any complaints and they seem to be gobbled up rather quickly in my house.

  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese sharp, shredded
  • 2 stick
    margarine, room temperature
  • 2 c
  • 2 c
    rice krispies cereal
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili pepper

How to Make Cheese Wafers


  1. Cream cheddar cheese and margarine.
  2. Blend in flour.
  3. Stir in Rice Krispies.
  4. Use a #40 scoop to make balls from the mixture and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Take a fork and flatten the balls down to a wafer. (#40 scoop equals 1.60 TBS)
  5. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.
