These tasty crispy little crackers are great as an appetizer or an accompaniment for soups or salads.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese (i used a mix of cheddar and monterey jack)
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

How To Make cheese crackers

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Step 2
    Mix all ingredients together and form into roll.
  • Step 3
    Refridgerate for 1 hour. (I rolled the dough up in waxed paper and put it in a plastic bag to keep overnight)
  • Step 4
    Cut into 1/4" slices or thinner for a crispier cracker. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Step 5
    Bake for 9 - 10 minutes or until set. Cool completely.
