My mom taught my sister and I how to make this when we were very young. We have always had it at family parties and it never lasts long! Mmmmm!

Ingredients

  • 1 - block of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 - 8 oz tub of sour cream
  • 1/2 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 jar salsa, your favorite
  • 3/4 - small bag of shredded lettuce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (small bag)

How To Make yum! yum! taco dip

  • Step 1
In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, 8 oz of sour cream, and 1/2 package of taco seasoning until smooth. Spread mixture covering the bottom of a 9x13 dish.
  • Step 2
Pour salsa on top of the mixture and spread evenly to cover.
  • Step 3
Top with lettuce and cheese. And Wah Lah! Ready for dipping with tortilla chips.
  • Step 4
Note: My mom always used fresh cut tomatoes in place of salsa and layered on top of lettuce. I use salsa because it adds more flavor and heat if you like. Also, you can make this ahead of time and just wait to add lettuce and cheese when you are ready to serve.
  • Step 5
    Happy Dipping!
