These chips are tasty and easy to make. I used whole wheat pita bread rounds and freshly grated parmesan. I left off the seasoning but you could use just about anything you like to flavor these chips. Very good and a nice change from the usual corn or potato chip.

How to Make Seasoned Butter Pita Chips

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Cut each pita into 6 wedges; separate each wedge in half (48 wedges total); place into large bowl.
  2. Place butter in glass measuring cup. Microwave on HIGH (100% power) until butter is melted (1 minute). Stir in Parmesan cheese and seasoning. Immediately pour butter mixture over pita wedges in bowl; toss gently until well coated.
  3. Place pita wedges onto 2 (15x10x1-inch) jelly-roll pans in single layer. Bake 5 minutes. Turn each wedge over. Continue baking for 2 minutes or until wedges are golden brown and crisp. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Note: baking time may vary. Watch chips carefully to determine how crisp or chewy you prefer the chips.
