mom's mexican layered dip

I started making this dip for my children (and husband) when tehy where young. And now they are adults with children of their own, and they still ask for me to make this all the time. Its great a great dip to make for watching any sporting event. As with all recipes, you can make most any adjustment according to your tastes.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1/4 cup nacho style jalepenos
  • 6-8 dashes hot suace(frank's is best)
  • 1 pint regular sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mexican style cheese
  • 1/8 cup scallions

How To Make mom's mexican layered dip

  • Step 1
    Pour refried beans in a round fairly shallow casserole dish, add hot sauce. Mix both together and spread out in dish.
  • Step 2
    Scatter jalepenos over top of beans, then spread sour cream on top.
  • Step 3
    Then sprinkle cheese over top the sour cream evenly. Add scallions on top of cheese.
  • Step 4
    Bake in 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted. Cool 2-3 minutes, then serve with your favorite tortilla chip.
