¼ cup reduced sodium soy sauce
¼ cup white vinegar
1 cup chicken broth

3 small slices of peeled fresh ginger root ((or 1/4 tsp. ground ginger))
2 bay leaves
8 black peppercorns ((or 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper))
