1½ kg braising beef, cut into large pieces

2 tbsp plain flour , well seasoned

2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder

2 tsp sugar
•
3 tbsp Chinese cooking wine

3 tbsp dark soy sauce

1 1/4 c beef stock
