Skillet Chicken Stew with Black Beans and Corn

INGREDIENTS
3 skinless boneless chicken breast halves
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic (crushed and minced)
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1 can (15 ounces) black beans (rinsed and drained)
1 can (14.5 ounces) stewed tomatoes with juices
1 can (12 to 15 ounces) corn kernels (drained)
1 can (4 ounces) chopped mild green chile
1 can chicken stock (use as needed)
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
