1 large egg ,at room temperature
2 large egg whites ,at room temperature
1 1/2 (190 grams) cups all-purpose flour ,sifted
1 teaspoon (5 grams) baking powder
1 cup (200 grams) sugar
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
For the frosting
1 cup (2 sticks, 227 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 cups (250 grams) powdered sugar
2 teaspoons (10 ml) vanilla extract
pinch of salt
a couple of drops of food coloring (optional, Americolor turquoise)
