This is my version of an old favorite. I made these for Church brunch today and were among one of the first things to go. They are always well received no matter where they're served. Great for picnics. Make them your own, with your favorite vegetables. Enjoy!

yield 25 - 30....depends how big they're sliced

Ingredients

  • 2 - 8 ounces cans, croissants
  • 1 - 8 ounces tub, garden vegetable or your favorite soft cream cheese - herb and garlic is great too
  • 3 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon each - dill weed & dry ranch dressing powder
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 cups chopped veggies, your choice - i used, radishes, red onion, green onion, tomato, broccoli, carrots, cucumber
  • 1/2 cup bacon crumbles
  • 1 cup favorite shredded cheese

How To Make ~ veggie squares & bacon too ~

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degree F. Pat out both cans of croissants onto a 15 1/2 x 10 inch baking sheet. Doesn't have to be perfect as it will be covered. Bake according to directions on the can.
  • Step 2
In a small bowl,, mix cream cheeses, ranch dressing powder, dill and mayonnaise, until thoroughly blended. Spread evenly over cooled crust.
  • Step 3
Sprinkle chopped veggies evenly over crust. Sprinkle with bacon and cheese. ( I didn't' use cheese this time) I then sprinkle with a few pinches of salad supreme. Optional. Chill until ready to serve. Cut into squares. Yum!
