It's been many many years since I cooked greens with meat and I don't miss it.These greens are flavorful and good for you.You can cook any greens this way.Collards are my favorite,but try mustards and turnips.Add swiss chard or spinach to mustards and turnips for a tasty treat.Cook the mustard and turnips until almost done then add chard and spinach as they do not cook as long. I don't measure when I cook so it's difficult to say amounts but use enough oil and butter to coat the amount of greens you're cooking without making them greasy.

- - garlic,chopped
- - collard greens,well washed and chopped or any combination of greens
- - vegetable broth or vegetable bouillon cubes
- - jalapeno or any hot pepper,whole
How To Make vegetarian greens

Step 1Heat butter and oil till hot in a larg pan.Add onions and cook until soft.Add garlic and greens and stir until greens are coated in oil.Add broth to cover greens and hot pepper.Cover,cook on low until greens are tender.
