How to Make Trudy's Sweet-n-Sour Green Beans
- Drain green beans.
- Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels, let cool and crumble.
- Turn heat to medium. Add to bacon drippings 1 1/2 cups of vinegar and 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Cook until sugar dissolves. Add greens beans and cover. Cook until beans start to wrinkle and have a brownish green color.Remove from stove and drain beans. Place beans in a serving dish and bacon, toss and serve.
