This is my recipe, I wanted something different for green beans. There are no measurements for this dish. Make whatever you think is enough. Taste for seasoning.

    fresh green beans
  • ·
    fresh tomatos
  • ·
    fresh scallions
  • ·
    minced garlic ( fresh or jarred )
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste
  • ·
    oregano, dried ( optional ) to taste
  • ·
    basil, dried ( optional ) to taste
  • ·
    olive oil
  • ·
    hormel bacon bits ( real ones )

How to Make Tomatos & Green Beans


  1. Wash, trim & cut beans on diagonal
    Cut tomatos in cubes
    Cut scallions in small pieces
  2. Pour enough olive oil in saute pan to cover bottom with a touch more
    Add scallions & garlic
    Add green beans
    Saute until scallions are tender & just starting to brown
  3. Add tomatoes, salt & pepper, bacon bits, & spices if wanted
    Turn down heat cover & cook until beans are tender, if you need to add a bit of water, add but try to avoid.
    Serve & Enjoy
