thai sweet green beans
(1 RATING)
We are in love with Thai sweet chili sauce. I find myself adding it to many things, especially vegetable dishes. In the summertime when we have a lot of green beans from our garden, this is one of the recipes I do frequently. Try it! It's yummy!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
- 2 pounds green beans, trimmed
- 1/3 cup thai infused broth (or chicken or vegetable broth)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 cup thai sweet chili sauce (such as mae ploy)
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, or to taste
- salt, to taste
How To Make thai sweet green beans
-
Step 1Heat oil in large skillet with lid over medium-high heat. When oil is hot, add garlic and pepper flakes and saute for 30 seconds till fragrant.
-
Step 2Add the beans and toss to coat with oil. Cook, tossing occasionally until they begin to get brown in spots.
-
Step 3Add broth and soy sauce, cover skillet and let cook 3-4 minutes.
-
Step 4Remove lid and add sweet chili sauce and salt to taste. Cook another minute or so tossing to coat the beans with the sauce. You're looking for the beans to be crisp-tender. When they are, transfer to serving bowl and serve immediately.
