I got this recipe from my sister years ago and it's a hit whenever I make it.

Ingredients

  • 2 29 ounces cans sweet potatoes, drained & mashed (sometimes i substitute yams)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 - eggs
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • TOPPING
  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 - stick melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

How To Make sweet potato praline crunch

  • Step 1
    Mix yams, milk, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla and salt with electric mixer and spread in a buttered 13x9" casserole dish.
  • Step 2
    Mix topping together and spread over yams.
  • Step 3
    Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
