I have been making this recipe for 20 years now. When making this recipe I like to double it.

Many years ago, we were at my grandmothers for Easter and she had invited friends to dine with us. I brought my Sweet Potato Casserole to be part of the meal. One of the guest made it very clear that he did not like yams at all. Well after trying just a spoonful, he was hooked....after that he would not leave the dish alone.
