Great Japanese recipe to use up all this delicious sweet corn

Ingredients

  • 2 ears sweet corn
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 3/4 cup ice cold club soda
  • kewpie mayonnaise
  • oil for deep frying

How To Make sweet corn kakiage

  • Step 1
    Blanch the corn in salted boiling water for 1 minute. Remove and let cool. Cut the kernels off the cob. Mix the cake flour with the club soda.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil to 350 degrees. Mix the corn kernels into the cake flour club soda mixture. With a metal spoon let the mixture roll off into the hot oil. Let cook 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Drain on paper towel. Serve with Japanese Kewpie Mayo
