- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 medium red cabbage, shredded
- 2 small Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
- 2/3 cup wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
How To Make sweet and sour red cabbage

Step 1Saute the onion in melted butter in a Dutch oven until tender.

Step 2Add the red cabbage and remaining ingredients, stirring well to combine.

Step 3Bring mixture to a boil; cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 45 minutes or until the cabbage is tender; stirring occasionally.
