sweet and sour cabbage
Grandma Carr made this wonderful cabbage and even kids like it. Its much more sweet then sour. :)

Ingredients
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup water
- 4 cups shredded cabbage, red, white, or mixed
- 2 - tart apples, peeled, cored, and finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 2 - whole cloves
How To Make sweet and sour cabbage

Step 1Heat butter in a Dutch oven or pot. Add the onion and brown slightly. Add the water, then the cabbage, apples vinegar, sugar, allspice and cloves. Cook until cabbage is tender but not over done and mushy. Serve hot.
