This recipe is from the Summit House, a fine dining establishment in Orange County, CA....I love this restaurant and this recipe...It's simple to prepare and definitely pleasing to the taste...I serve it at Thanksgiving dinner; however, it can be made anytime...Hope you enjoy it just as much as I do!

frozen kernel corn
1 1/2 Tbsp
melted butter
1 1/2 Tbsp
2 Tbsp
1/2 tsp
1 pinch
white pepper
3 Tbsp
parmesan cheese

How to Make Summit House - Creamed Corn au Gratin


  • 1Combine the whipping cream, corn, salt, sugar, and white pepper in a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes.
  • 2Make a roux from butter and flour, add to corn, mix well and remove from heat.
  • 3Transfer the corn mixture to a casserole sprinkle with parmesan cheese and brown under the broiler.
