This recipe is from the Summit House, a fine dining establishment in Orange County, CA....I love this restaurant and this recipe...It's simple to prepare and definitely pleasing to the taste...I serve it at Thanksgiving dinner; however, it can be made anytime...Hope you enjoy it just as much as I do!

- 12 ounces whipping cream
- 1 pound frozen kernel corn
- 1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch white pepper
- 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese
How To Make summit house - creamed corn au gratin

Step 1Combine the whipping cream, corn, salt, sugar, and white pepper in a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes.

Step 2Make a roux from butter and flour, add to corn, mix well and remove from heat.

Step 3Transfer the corn mixture to a casserole sprinkle with parmesan cheese and brown under the broiler.
