I don't usually use recipes, so I use this as my basic recipe and tweak it to suit my taste for where I am using it or taking it. It is easy to adjust to your taste.

    van camps pork and beans
  • 1/2 c
    catsup{ or more to taste}
  • 1 Tbsp
    yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp
    molassas or maple syrup

    bell pepper chopped

How to Make Sue's Baked Beans

  1. Mix the beans and seasonings together and stir well to blend
  2. Fold in chopped onion and chopped bell pepper. Let set for a few minutes to absorb flavors.
  3. Spray a 9x13 glass baking dish(I prefer glass) with cooking spray, bottom and sides. Pour bean mixture in dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle bacon bits evenly over beans.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour or until bubbly all over, but still juicy. The liquid will set as the beans cool. Enjoy!
