The original recipe came from Paula Deen. I have revised it a little to make it a bit healthier.

Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon kernel season's gourmet popcorn seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon granulated bouillon
- 16 ounces lima beans, frozen
- 6 slices turkey bacon, cut into tiny pieces
- 16 ounces sweet corn, frozen
- 2 sticks butter buds powdered mix
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
How To Make succotash
-
Step 1In a medium saucepan, add the popcorn seasoning, seasoned salt, and bouillon to 2 cups of water. Add the lima beans, and bring to boil. Reduce the heat, cover and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes or until the lima beans are tender and some of the water has been absorbed.
-
Step 2In a medium skillet, fry the bacon until very crisp.
-
Step 3Drain off all except 1 T. of grease. (There is very little grease with turkey bacon). Add the corn to the skillet with the bacon pieces and cook over medium low heat for about 10 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, add the butter beans to the skillet. Add a little of the butter bean liquid to create a sauce. Add the Butter Buds and pepper. Stir well and serve.
