Blue Ribbon Recipe

A tomato is a perfect vegetable (or fruit, if you want to get nitpicky), and when you enhance it with bacon, broccoli and cheese... well, shoot! You can bet it is a winner. Try this as a side to most any entree. Your family might just pin a blue ribbon on your apron right then and there!

Ingredients

  • 4 - tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup basil, fresh chopped
  • 1 - garlic clove, minced
  • 3 - green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup broccoli, cooked and chopped
  • 3 slices bacon, cooked crisp and chopped
  • 1 cup panko crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese

How To Make stuffed tomatoes

  • Step 1
    Remove pulp from tomato; reserve for later use.
  • Step 2
    Chop tomato pulp and the rest of fresh ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Add panko crumbs, cheese and worcestershire sauce.
  • Step 4
    Mix all ingredients together.
  • Step 5
    Tightly stuff mixture into hollowed tomatoes.
  • Step 6
    Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
