stewed tomatoes with soda crackers
Throw back to the 1970's here. We were poor growing and and my mom always canned tomatoes and she would make this side dish and it is delicious. I still eat it today. So easy and fast.

Ingredients
- 1 15 oz can stewed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 10-15 soda crackers (saltine)
- pepper
How To Make stewed tomatoes with soda crackers

Step 1Puree the stewed tomatoes in a food processor. (optional you can leave them whole if you want). Place in a saucepan. Add the sugar and bring to a boil

Step 2Once boiling remove from heat and crush 10 to 15 saltine crackers into the tomato mixture. Stir until well combined

Step 3Add a little cracked black pepper and serve immediately
