Throw back to the 1970's here. We were poor growing and and my mom always canned tomatoes and she would make this side dish and it is delicious. I still eat it today. So easy and fast.

Ingredients For stewed tomatoes with soda crackers

115 oz can stewed tomatoes

2 Tbspsugar

10-15soda crackers (saltine)

pepper
How To Make stewed tomatoes with soda crackers

1Puree the stewed tomatoes in a food processor. (optional you can leave them whole if you want). Place in a saucepan. Add the sugar and bring to a boil

2Once boiling remove from heat and crush 10 to 15 saltine crackers into the tomato mixture. Stir until well combined

3Add a little cracked black pepper and serve immediately
