Step 1cut cabbage into quarters, cut core from each cabbage quarter, cut each quarter the size you like. heat water and butter to simmering, add cabbage, sugar, salt and pepper. cover pot and cook stirring ocasionally until cabbage is tender aboout 25 minutes.
