Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound cremini mushrooms, sliced
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)
- 1 large clove garlic, pressed
- 4-5 dashes hot sauce such as cholula®, or to taste
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons dry white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- garlic salt, to taste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
How To Make steakhouse sautéed mushrooms

Step 1In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil, swirling to coat; add butter. Add mushrooms and season with pepper. Cook until golden and tender, 5 minutes.

Step 2Add garlic and hot sauce; sauté for 1 minute. Add thyme and lemon juice; cook until liquid evaporates. Add wine, reduce heat slightly, and simmer until mushrooms are glazed with the sauce. Add parsley and transfer to a bowl; serve immediately
