Ingredients For steakhouse sautéed mushrooms

  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 lb
    cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)
  • 1 lg
    clove garlic, pressed
  • 4-5 dash
    hot sauce such as cholula®, or to taste
  • 2 tsp
    fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry white wine
  • 1/2 tsp
    balsamic vinegar
  • garlic salt, to taste
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    fresh parsley, chopped

How To Make steakhouse sautéed mushrooms

    In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil, swirling to coat; add butter. Add mushrooms and season with pepper. Cook until golden and tender, 5 minutes.

    Add garlic and hot sauce; sauté for 1 minute. Add thyme and lemon juice; cook until liquid evaporates. Add wine, reduce heat slightly, and simmer until mushrooms are glazed with the sauce. Add parsley and transfer to a bowl; serve immediately
