Ingredients

  • 2 packages 10-oz. pkgs. frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon celery salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon worchestershire sauce
  • 1 - 6-oz. roll or jar jalapeno cheese
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • - bread crumbs for topping

How To Make spicy spinach casserole

  • Step 1
    Saute onions in butter until soft; add flour and cook briefly until onions are coated with flour. Add to spinach and mix well.
  • Step 2
    Combine broth and next 6 ingredients (milk through jalapeno cheese) and cook over medium heat until cheese is melted. Combine cheese mixture with spinach and pour into a 9 x 13 inch casserole pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
