Ingredients

  • 2 pounds green beans
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups pickling salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 20 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 teaspoons each black peppercorns, dill seed, red chili flakes, mustard seeds

How To Make spicy garlic pickled green beans

  • Step 1
    Sterilize 4 pint jars Blanch the green beans in salted water for 5 minutes. Drain. Fill each jar with the beans leaving about a half inch headspace.
  • Step 2
    Combine the vinegar, water and salt together in a medium saucepan. Add 5 cloves of garlic to each jar. Once the salt has dissolved pour the vinegar solution over the beans in each jars.
  • Step 3
    Place 1 tsp of each of the spices in each jar. Place the lids on each jar and tighten. Place in a waterbath over heat and leave for 10 minutes.
