Spicy Brussels Sprouts

I love spicy food but living in Phoenix, Arizona it's hard to find spicy without burning your mouth off. I found this recipe in a YouTube video and adapted it to my liking. Serve hot or cold. Once they cool there is very little sauce left. I haven't reheated so not sure what happens then, I LOVE them cold! ENJOY!

Stove Top


  • 4-6 slice
    bacon, cut up (scissors work great)
  • 6-8
    raw almonds, chopped (optional)
  • 1 1/2-2 lb
    brussels sprouts, halved

  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    each red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    sriracha or frank's red hot sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice vinegar

How to Make Spicy Brussels Sprouts


  1. Cook bacon and almonds in saucepan until bacon is done.
  2. Add Sprouts and stir to coat with bacon grease.
  3. Mix together dry and wet ingredients in separate bowls.
  4. Add dry ingredients over Sprouts and stir to coat then add wet ingredients and stir until well combined.
  5. Simmer until Sprouts are cooked to your liking, stirring occasionally.
