special green bean casserole

This recipe is just my "ramped up" version of traditional green bean casserole.

Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2-3 tablespoons onion and chive cream cheese
  • 4 cans french cut green beans or 9 oz.frozen bags of beans
  • 2-3 - green onions finely chopped
  • 4-6 - bacon cooked and crumbled into bits
  • 1 sm can mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 can frenches fried onions
  • dash italian herb blend or other dried herbs for additional flavor

How To Make special green bean casserole

  • Step 1
    in a large microwave safe mixing bowl combine soups, cream cheese and milk then microwave for a few minutes so you can easily stir. Add finely chopped onion & mushroom. Season with a dash of black pepper.
  • Step 2
    Spray nostick coating in a casserole baking dish add green beans(drained if canned). Pour soup mixture over the beans and stir in 1/2 can of french onions & italian seasoning blend or herbs.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degrees until heated through approximately 30 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Top casserole with remaining french fried onions and bacon bits then bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to crisp up.
