southern style beans
I have lived in Missouri for 30+ years but, never forgot my Texas roots. I was inspired by some green beans that I ate at a local Ma & Pa restaurant while visiting my parents in Jacksboro years ago. This is such a delicious side. It is so easy and my husband absolutely loves it. It works well with my low carb eating too.

Ingredients
- 1 can regular cut green beans
- 1 can yellow wax beans
- 1 can rotel tomatoes (mild or spicy per preference)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon bacon grease or butter
- seasoning to taste
How To Make southern style beans

Step 1Drain beans and add to large pot.

Step 2Add Rotel, broth, bacon grease and preferred seasoning.

Step 3Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 60 minutes to blend the flavors.
