My sister combined two different recipes for these pickles. The first time I tried them I knew I had to make some. She finally shared her recipe with me, so here it is. Very easy to make and oh so tasty, with just a little kick.

prep time 10 Min
cook time 5 Min
method Stove Top
yield 6 cups

Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced cucumbers
  • 2 cups thin sliced onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced thin
  • 1/4 - green pepper, sliced thin
  • 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make ~ sis's easy refrigerator pickles ~

  • Step 1
Slice up first 4 ingredients and place in tupperware container 9x 13 or larger size with lid. Add rest of ingredients to sauce pan and boil one minute. Pour hot liquid over vegetables and stir to cover. Will not seem like enough liquid but cucumbers will make some liquid of their own. I keep pushing them into the brine occasionally. Cool completely and refrigerate for 3-4 days. Eat and enjoy!
